The Co-op Board oversees 5 committees
The Board appoints a Board liaison to each committee.
Each committee determines how they will meet and how they want to work.
Each committee has a chairperson.
Committee liaisons and/or chairpersons report to the Board at each Board Meeting.
The Board assigns tasks to the committees as they see fit.
The Board will be allowed to create new committees as they see fit or disband current ones.
The five committees are:
*Outreach/Education
*Work to increase co-op membership
*Attend events, hand out brochures, talk about the co-op
*Plan co-op events, advertisements, flyers, etc.
*Blog relevant information concerning events & education
*Plan and coordinate farm tours
Website
*Subcommittee of PR Committee
*Use programming skills to update and make changes to our website
*Review site to make sure all of the information is current and relevant
*Maintain entries on the blog
*Add information and keep the Wiki up to date
*Volunteer & drop-off/pick-up coordination
*Address issues that arise concerning members and volunteers
*Determine guidelines & policies that pertain to membership
*Increase volunteer base
*Volunteer on drop-off/pick-up days, help supervise shifts
*Come up with ideas on how the drop-off/pick-up can be more efficient
*Create & update Membership Handbook
*Future Growth
*Research options for expansion, including logistics, costs, rate of growth, etc.
*Review new producer applications
*Visit farms (if seen as necessary or decided upon)
*Compile database of producer info, keep up on when licenses need to be renewed, etc.
*Keep up on evaluating products and making sure they live up to our standards, have proper licenses, etc.
*Define what our standards are
*Keep producer handbook up to date
*Keep producer files
*Maintain database of producer complaints and issues
*Keep up on co-op licenses
